As of Sep. 10, 2011 at 22:39, the camera north of the Champlain bridge was showing a clip from earlier in the day at 10/9/2011 12:25:23 p.m. It has done this before. We use the cameras all the time. Thanks!

@ Marlena Yannetti
You can take the Victoria Bridge, it will be opened that weekend. If you want to take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, to make sure you avoid most of the traffic, here’s a map to help you find your way from Highway 15 to François-Xavier Street. Thank you.

Having sat in a lot of traffic at the Pont Champlain heading in to Montreal at around 4:30PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2011, we would love to be able to avoid that experience when we return to our favorite city on Sunday, Aug. 21. We were told that it would not be possible to take the Pont Victoria (don’t know why) and should try Pont Jacques Cartier. (we’re coming in from Boston).. Our final destination would be Vieux Montreal so we normally take the Centreville exit off Pont Champlain and are not sure (1) how to get to the Pont Jacques Cartier and (2) how to get to Rue Francois Xavier in Vieux Montreal once we find the bridge. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, as to which is the best time to arrive, which bridge to take, anything…..Merci milles fois. We really don’t want to have to cancel our trip because of this situation.

merci

@ Marc Gaudette
Here’s the details of our closures:
From September 17, 11 PM to September 19, noon
Closures:
* Starting at L’Île-des-Sœurs – Access to Highway 15 North closed (detour via Clément Bridge and Bonaventure Expressway)
* Exit 60 (Wellington exit) closure – from Highway 15 North to access the Bonaventure Expressway and Wellington Street. (detour via Exit 58)
Access to L’Île-des-Sœurs
* Usual access
So the access to the South Shore will be the same as usual. To go downtown you should take Bonaventure Expressway, instead of 15 North.
Of course traffic will have an impact to access to the Island, but the access won’t be close like the last weekend.
Thank you.

Your notices of closures for this coming week end are confusing.
1-What should residents living on Nun’s island do if they wish to go to the south shore and back?
2- what should they do if they wish to go downtown and back?
Because nun’s island residents are specifically impacted It would be appreciated that instructions be posted for these people specifically.
thank you

Let me see if this insert works:-
It dopes not insert. it was a screen capture of your champlain bridge live web camera which , at 9:15 A.M., was showing trafic flowing north and south at a time when headlights and tail-lights were “bright” and sodium vapor streetlights were providing yello-orange illumination with dark areas inbetween and to the sides, the sky was showing dawn or dusk, obviously not 9:15 A.M.
??? If I find an e-mail address, I will send you the screen capture.
